This is a two-and-a-half slot card with connectors for DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI, and there’s no USB C like you see on the founder’s edition and higher 2070 cards, which is done to cut costs as we can guess. There’s also only a single 8 pin power connector. The dual fan and heatsink on this card are truly impressive, and it allows some pretty good overclocks out of the box.
It comes as factory overclocked with an 1830 megahertz boosted clock speed which is pretty much 150 plus than the founder’s edition, and It has 6 GB of GDDR6 RAM (memory speed 14 GBPS) which is plenty for just about any title we have tested so far. The benchmarks are pretty impressive for a sub $400 card.
And before we dive into the results, let me summarize our experiences with this card – it’s stupid FAST, it really is. It is a substantial upgrade over 1060, and it’s almost as fast as 2070 weirdly which sort of puts 2070 in an odd place. For connectivity, there’s a total of two display ports 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports. This card is powered by two connectors, one 6 pin, and another 8 pin PCI connector. There have been reports that the RTX 2060 can easily outperform the GTX 1070, GTX 970, and AMD Radeon RX 590. In our benchmark tests, this card scored an impressive number of 3820.
